CFS has declared bushfire danger dates of 15 November 2023 to 30 April 2024 - campfires are permitted at Woodhouse outside these dates.
Outside of fire ban season (generally May to mid or end of November but check the CFS website), campfires are a beloved part of overnight stays and day adventures at Woodhouse.
There are several large fire pits for shared use - a great opportunity to meet like-minded families - as well as some half-barrel drums if you're looking for something more private (there are a couple of dozen drums which are on a 'first in best dressed' basis and can't be booked). You are also welcome to bring your own portable fire drum, which must have legs and a plate underneath it so it is not sitting flush on the ground.
You are welcome to bring your own firewood (please ensure it is not contaminated with paint or chemicals) and you can also forage for some kindling/dry leaves at Woodhouse (must be found on the ground, not taken from trees and shrubs).
Available for purchase (or collection if purchased at time of booking) from the office for your convenience (between 9am and 5pm):
For the safety of all guests, safety requirements must be met - please refer to the printed Guest Information brochure provided at check-in and/or below:
