Privacy & Data Protection Statement

At Scouts SA Camps & Adventure Parks (comprising of Woodhouse Adventure Park, Roonka River Adventure Park and Camp Nyroca), we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of families engaging with our services. We understand the sensitivity of the information you provide during the camp booking process and are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of data security, privacy, and transparency.

All personal information collected as part of your child’s camp registration is securely managed through Venuelife, our trusted booking platform provider. Venuelife operates on a robust digital infrastructure hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Sydney, offering industry-leading protections including encryption, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access controls. These safeguards ensure that only authorised personnel within our organisation can access your data, strictly for the purposes of planning and delivering a safe and enriching camp experience.

Data Retention and Compliance

We retain personal information only for as long as is operationally necessary and legally required. Specifically:

  • Data provided is used for the duration of the engagement, in order to fully support your child while in our care.
  • We do not delete registration information in the portal. It is a requirement to keep this information in the context of child safety.
  • If the Guest does not want us to store digital information in the portal, we can retain a physical copy of guest records upon checkout and delete from the digital store.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of registration information, subject to any legal or compliance constraints. We are committed to ensuring transparency in how your data is handled and are happy to answer any queries regarding our data management practices.

If you have any concerns or wish to discuss how your information is managed, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
