Camping Adventure Pass

Camping Button7 WOODHOUSE CAMPING ADVENTURE PASS includes your camping site on our unpowered camping fields, access to our outdoor adventure activities, and facilities including bathrooms (hot showers!) and BBQs. Tents, camper trailers and vans are all welcome!

Just a short trip up the South Eastern freeway and 25 minutes from Adelaide, Woodhouse provides a safe and convenient space for the experienced camper, or those just starting out.

Dotted across the picturesque 54-hectare property, basecamps are positioned in prime camping locations to help make ‘roughing it’ that little more comfortable. Here you'll find toilets, hot showers, undercover dining, sinks and BBQ facilities, as well as shared campfire circles (outside fire ban season).

A combination of outdoor adventurous activities complete the Woodhouse experience, with access available to all guests staying on site – from 9am on your day of arrival to 5pm on your day of departure. There's no rushing to pack up the tent at Woodhouse!

OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC ON WEEKENDS, PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND WEEKDAYS IN SA SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. Call the office on 08 8339 3333 to discuss access at other times (dependent on other bookings).

No problem! If you want a camping experience but just don't have the gear we recommend our glamping option with bell tent hire! It's glamping Woodhouse style ... affordable and family-friendly. We'll put the tent up for you and throw in the camping essentials (table, chairs, mattresses, lantern and private BBQ).

Outside of bushfire danger season (May-November), MOST DEFINITELY!

There are several large fire pits for shared use and some half-barrel drums if you're looking for something more private. Bags of wood, fire-starter packs and marshmallows are available for purchase from the office for your convenience.

The Fire Danger Season for the Mt Lofty Ranges district generally commences mid-November or start of December, and concludes at the end of April, during which time Woodhouse has a TOTAL FIRE BAN. These dates change each year, please check the CFS website for further information. Total Fire Ban days may fall outside the fire season and the fire response plan applies on these days.

We love our fur-babies too but for the safety and enjoyment of all our guests and wildlife, pets are not permitted. Naturally guide dogs and accredited assistance dogs are welcome.

You are going to be ACTIVE in the great outdoors!

Flip-flops are not suitable and access to activities may be denied for your safety. Please ensure everyone in your party understands this to avoid disappointment.

  • Strong enclosed footwear is ESSENTIAL!!
  • Think sun-smart clothing - long pants are a good idea and best suited to most activities
  • As jewellery around the neck, wrists and fingers has potential to get caught on some activities, we suggest leaving it at home or in a safe place
  • Slip, slop, slap - remember sunscreen and a hat
  • A full change of clothes (including shoes) is recommended for those likely to end up in Cox's Creek
  • Don't wear anything you'd be worried about getting dirty or damaged

BYO everything! With a little preparation, you can ensure you've got everything you need to have as much fun as possible - click here to view a suggested list of items to pack for your Woodhouse camping adventure.

There is no food or drink available for purchase on site, so come prepared. If you need to grab groceries or a meal, the beautiful townships of Crafers, Stirling and Uraidla are all less than a 10-minute drive away. Check out some great local eateries and other attractions while you're here!
