Scouts SA can't wait to welcome you to Flameboree on Saturday 27th of June at Woodhouse Adventure Park.
Get ready for a full day and night of outdoor adventure, live entertainment, food trucks and campfire magic, all building to the main event: an official world record attempt for roasting the most marshmallows simultaneously!
The current record was set in Kansas, USA, in 2012 - and now we're ready to bring that record home to South Australia!
We've pulled together everything you need to know for the day in this guide. Plese have a read before you arrive so you're ready to go.

Gates are open from 12pm!
Entry is available via Gate 1 and Gate 9.
Both entry points are marked on the map, and directional signage will be in place to guide you. Upon arrival, our staff and volunteers will direct you to the most suitable parking area.
Parking is limited so please carpool where possible.
Vehicle movement on site is strictly limited. No cars are permitted near the event space unless approved with a permit.
You're welcome to arrive at any time throughout the afternoon, but we recommend being on site for the entertainment from 2:00PM - and you definitely don't want to miss the world record attempt at 6:30PM
Check-in opens at 12:00pm and is marked on the EVENT MAP. When you arrive:

Payments - Card Only
Flameboree is a cashless event. All on-site purchase are card only, so please bring a card or phones to make payment.
Please Note:
Flameboree is an all-ages, family event and is alcohol-free - please don't bring alcohol on site.
Please also bring a battery torch or headlamp - lighting back to the carpark will be limited after dark.
This is what we're all here for! Here's how it works!
Fire pits are unallocated and first-come, first-served. We need around 10 people per fire pit, so be ready to share and welcome others – it’s all part of the campfire spirit!
A few main fire pits will be burning throughout the afternoon, and the event team will begin lighting the remaining pits from around 4:00 pm – please be patient while they work around the site.
At 6:00 pm, following the torch procession, everyone gathers at their allocated fire pit for the official simultaneous roast.
Each fire pit has a dedicated scrutineer who will hand out marshmallows and roasting sticks – everything is included for the attempt itself.
Each participant will be allocated two marshmallows: one practice and one qualifying.
Important: do not eat your qualifying marshmallow during counting – if you do,
it will be disqualified! Scrutineers will come around to count, so hold that roast until you get the all-clear.
To beat the record we need everyone in position and roasting at the same time, so listen carefully for instructions from the stage and your scrutineer.
You’re welcome to bring your own marshmallows to roast after the attempt.
While the record count is being verified, we’ll host a communal campfire with songs at
the main stage. You’re free to head off after the attempt, but we strongly encourage you to stick around – we’ll announce on the night whether we’ve broken the record, and you won’t want to miss that moment!
Large groups and Scout Groups may bring a marquee – marquees must be dropped off before 12:00 pm on Saturday and set up on the hill behind the main arena, where you’ll be provided a designated space.
Flameboree is a winter festival – expect cold, damp conditions and dress for them! The event will proceed in most weather conditions. In the case of extreme weather or unsafe conditions, the event may be modified or cancelled.
In the unlikely event of cancellation due to severe weather, refunds are handled in line with the Woodhouse terms and conditions (woodhouse.org.au/flameboree/terms/), with refunds at the discretion of management. Any cancellation will be communicated directly to ticket holders.
First aid is located on site near the Hooper Bunkhouse and is marked on the event map. If you have any problems, please head there and our team will support you.
Event organisers will be wearing red hi-vis vests throughout the event – please approach them with any questions and they’ll point you in the right direction.
In an emergency, follow the directions of hi-vis staff and make your way to the assembly point near check-in, where marshals will direct you.
A quiet space is available near first aid (Hooper Bunkhouse) and is marked on the event map.
Scouts SA child-safe and safeguarding procedures apply throughout the event, and all activities are run with appropriate supervision and safety rules.
Toilets: all standard Woodhouse toilets will be open, plus additional toilets and accessible facilities, including a baby change table. Locations will be signposted.
Rubbish: bins for general waste and recycling are provided around the site – please use them and leave the park as you found it.
The property closes at 9:00 pm for all visitors except registered campers.
Everyone exits through the main exit gate, except vehicles leaving from Carpark 1.1, which has its own exit.
Marshals will direct traffic – please follow their directions and be patient; everyone leaving at once takes time.
A headlamp essential for getting around safely after dark and back to the car.
